Are you early in your finance career and passionate about financial markets and macroeconomics? Skanska is looking for a driven and curious Junior Treasury Front Office Specialist to join our dynamic and collaborative Front Office team.
In this role, you’ll work at the heart of Skanska’s financial operations—executing real-time market transactions and managing risk exposures. Group Function Finance Operations is responsible for the core financial processes in Skanska. Finance Operations consists of 45 employees in six units: Treasury, Group Consolidation and IFRS, Accounting, Sustainability reporting, Tax and Pensions.
The Treasury unit consists of 12 employees in total, and the team is responsible for financing of the Skanska group and manages risks such as foreign exchange, interest rates, financing and liquidity. Treasury is the internal bank and work proactively and with a high degree of service towards business units and projects.
About the role
The Front Office team, consisting of three employees, is now looking for a new junior co-worker with experience from corporate treasury or bank. The role is broad, and the Front Office team is responsible for the following areas and tasks:
• Managing FX and interest rate risk exposures
• Execute transactions in FX, interest rates and commodities
• Participate in administrative treasury processes
• Liquidity management
• Support business units and Skanska projects with advice regarding financial risks (foreign exchange, interest rates, commodities)
• Participate in funding activities such as commercial papers, medium term notes and other funding sources
• Drive and develop the internal bank processes and routines, have an active role in Treasury´s aim to innovate and strive towards excellence
• Work together with other Treasury-functions, in projects and ad hoc tasks, show active interest in areas outside Front Office core responsibilities
• Provide analysis and reports to management and internal stakeholders
• Develop network and manage bank relations
Qualifications
You have a university degree in Business administration, economics or equivalent and 1–3-year relevant experience from corporate treasury or bank. You also need to be fluent in English and Swedish, verbally as well as written. Knowledge of treasury systems and financial data systems is meriting.
We are looking for a person with a curious mindset and an ambition to learn and develop yourself. You like to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt easily to change. To be successful it is important that you have excellent communication skills and a strong capability to build relationships with internal and external counterparties.
