About the role
As the Head of Procurement for Euroclear Sweden, you will be responsible for Supply Chain Management and for establishing a well-functioning procurement governance framework. Your responsibilities also include ensuring that Euroclear Sweden achieves cost efficiency with suppliers by defining, implementing, and monitoring the overall procurement strategy. The goal is to ensure that the delivered services are appropriate and of high quality with low risk.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues from Group Supply Chain, Compliance, and various risk departments within the group. Your role in the local organization is to support operations and ensure that contracts and supplier relationships are of the highest quality.
Key responsibilities
As the Head of Procurement, you are part of the Risk, Operations, and Outsourcing Committee both locally for Euroclear Sweden and at the group level. Together with your colleagues in the procurement department, you will be responsible for:
• Developing and implementing Euroclear Sweden's overall procurement strategy for a broad range of categories
• Developing, managing, and monitoring strategic partnerships, primarily within IT
• Ensuring that Euroclear Sweden's outsourcing complies with current legal requirements, regulations, and the company's risk appetite. This is done in collaboration with Legal, Compliance, and Risk departments
• Supporting operations and IT to ensure that contracts are fit for purpose and help meet business expectations
• Managing relationships with Euroclear's strategic partners and key suppliers
• Ensuring the entire procurement lifecycle, including supplier evaluation, due diligence, supplier selection, contract negotiations, outsourcing risk assessments, and subsequent follow-up on Euroclear Sweden's suppliers
• Collaborating with the Group Supply Chain department on procurement strategy, established procurement policies and procedures, supplier lists, standards and templates, as well as price optimization, delivery, and terms for local needs
• Compiling internal and external reporting
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have substantial experience in a similar position as a head of procurement, giving you a strong understanding of supplier management, procurement processes, and contracts. This means you can lead a procurement function and handle everything from price negotiations to performance monitoring and invoicing. Additionally, experience in leading change initiatives and transformation within an organization is valuable.
Your skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are crucial for effectively managing documents, data, and presentations. Language skills are also essential – you should be fluent in both English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
We expect you to have at least 10 years of experience in a similar position. This provides you with in-depth knowledge of the industry and its challenges. We also see that you have substantial leadership experience to drive successful procurement strategies.
