About the role
On behalf of our client – a newly established finance and advisory group, we are now looking for a Head of Compliance.
As Head of Compliance you are responsible for building a strong compliance culture within the group and act as support to the portfolio companies regarding risk and regulations mostly AML and KYC. You stand for high quality standards and have a drive in both communicative skills as well as documentation for the whole group.
Although the portfolio companies has full responsibility you will work in close collaboration with them and act as a supportive expert, coordinator and speaking partner. By deep knowledge and experience from accounting, auditing and its regulations you will, together with the portfolio companies, develop processes, methods and tools to build uniformity for the whole organisation. Qualifications
Head of Compliance will report to CFO and will also work in close collaboration with the newly appointed group CEO as well as the Board. We believe you have an academic degree in finance and/or accounting. You have vast experience in auditing, accounting as well as risk and compliance from one of the big4. Further you have gained deep knowledge in working with implementing regulations within this area and have experience in compliance and risk management of audit services.
The successful candidate must be flexible and a people person; an individual who sees others as equals and is able to work without prestige or ego and able to operate independently and with initiative. He/she will have a well calibrated moral compass and take the values of the organisation seriously; this is a fast moving, cohesive, team environment with no appetite for politics or positioning. They must be action-oriented.
This person must be able to operate with humility and have a desire to build, whilst also able to take responsibility for driving outcomes. They will likely be a high achiever, low key, social and humble and able to create bonds and demonstrate empathy with people across business and customer populations.
