Group Business Controller

About the role

As Group Business Controller you will be an important part of Arjo’s Group Business Controlling team, a small but highly motivated team, responsible for the analysis and reporting of group financials. The team consists of energetic colleagues playing a key role in the business steering and following up of the company. The daily tasks comprise elements such as monthly book closing, budget and forecast reporting, analysis of country/product performance, business case assessments, cost control and development of the next generation financial reporting structure.

Key responsibilities

As Group Business Controller you will be a pivotal part of the Group Business Controlling team. Your responsibilities will include:
• Conducting consolidation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and forecast financials
• Following up on P&L and undertaking various types of data analysis, on country and product performance
• Tale part in building the next generation reporting processes and tools
• Creating management presentation materials and driving various ad-hoc assignments

The position is based at the Arjo HQ in Malmö, only a short train ride from Copenhagen or Lund.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for as also has a master’s degree in business administration, finance, economics or accounting combined with at least three to five years of experience from a business controlling oriented role in a similar, preferably in a multinational company. You can also have a background from M&A or from an auditing company combined with a well proven business orientated mindset.

At a personal level your characteristics need to include:
• High emotional stability and stress resilience since you will be exposed to various stakeholders at all level of the organization
• Strong goal orientation and the ability to deliver under high pressure and within tight deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain and visualize patterns and trends to stakeholders at all levels
• A high ambition to assume increased scope of responsibility in the organization
• Fluency in written and spoken English and preferably a Scandinavian language
• International experience and extracurricular activities are a merit but not a must

You also need an execution orientated mind-set with a strong passion for business improvement as well as a structured personality with the ability to plan, organize and execute many activities. We also value strong people skills, with a natural flare for interacting with international stakeholders at all organizational levels, and a good sense of humor Furthermore you need strong data and communication skills combined with great proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, while knowledge of COGNOS, PowerBI or similar is regarded a merit.
