About the role
We are looking for a driven, analytical and structured Tax Manager M&A with great collaboration skill to become part of the Group Tax team. The team is globally responsible for tax within Essity and develops and drives the Tax Function to deliver on our global strategic tax framework.
This position reports to the Tax Director for M&A and Indirect Tax and is located at the Essity head office in the Waterfront Building, just a couple of minutes from Stockholm Central Station. The head office includes the Executive Management and Group Staff Functions such as Finance, Legal Affairs, Strategy & Business Development, Human Resources and Communications. Some 130 specialists work in an international environment where business processes are promoted through the global networks in the 60 countries where Essity is represented.

Key responsibilities
The Tax Manager M&A will be responsible for all tax activities related to M&A and legal structure. You will as such play a pivotal role in the execution of our M&A transactions and legal structure changes, as well as contributing to enable the vision, ambition and strategic objectives of the Tax Function and the Finance Function as a whole.
Lead and perform a wide range of activities in the area of tax M&A and legal structure, all with the focus to ensure compliance, efficiency and value-creation
Develop, implement and enforce relevant Group policies, processes, strategies and priorities for tax M&A and legal structure globally?
Lead and participate in tax and cross functional projects, implementations and integrations, identifying best practices and ensuring proactivity
Oversee risk management in the area of tax M&A and legal structure
Develop and maintain relationships with important internal stakeholders within our business units, global units and group functions, as well as relevant external partners
Manage external resources (consultants, auditors, lawyers etc.) engaged in assistance related to tax M&A and legal structure, and safeguard good cost management in such engagements
Provide expertise and advice on tax issues and questions across business units, global units and group functions
Qualifications
To be successful in the role you should have excellent collaboration skills, be a team player with high integrity and drive, as well as strong self-motivation and enjoy working independently. You should know how to connect multiple dots into a holistic view, draw conclusions and take fact-based strategic decisions. You are able to manage complexity, embrace change and deal with ambiguity, in an often fast-paced environment. Since you will be working with stakeholders at all different levels, you need to be an excellent communicator, both verbally and written, with the ability to put complex and sensitive content into context and convey a clear message. You are proactive, resourceful, organized and have strong prioritization skills.
University degree in Law or equivalent relevant area
Minimum 8 years of experience working with tax, specifically corporate income tax, in a global/multinational context
Strong experience of working with M&A and legal structures
Strong experience of project management
Strong communication and presentation skills in written and spoken English
Ability to travel
